In 2002, ESPN launched a program called “Press Pass” for soccer fans. It consists of six days of interviews with the most influential people in the world of soccer. The show has a global audience and has been viewed in over 107 countries. Former players, coaches, and scouts provide insight into the lives of fans. The show is also available online. A recent update added new episodes every Thursday.

After years of failing to keep up with the English Premier League, ESPN has decided to change the name of its flagship soccer channel. Now the new name is ESPNFC, replacing the ESPNsoccernet brand globally. ESPN’s international digital media executive Arne Rees said that the move represents a “major statement” for the brand. Moreover, the rebranded Press Pass is available in over 107 countries around the world.
In addition to the rebranded ESPNFC Press Pass, the new program will feature four international soccer personalities. A column by Liverpool legend Kevin Keegan will be available on the website and on mobile devices. Steve Nicol, another former player and Scotland international, will also contribute. Lastly, Gabriele Marcotti, a prominent international soccer journalist, will be featured on the new show. The series is also available on the ESPN News app.
During the past year, ESPN has asked numerous Black employees about their views on the company’s coverage of the league. This article is based on interviews with former ESPN employees who spoke on condition of anonymity. All of these sources were required to sign a confidentiality agreement before talking to the news media. They were not authorized to comment on their previous employer’s policy. Roger Bennett
Sports journalist Roger Bennett will be a columnist for ESPNFC. He will also be hosting Grantland, the ESPN wide-ranging sports-scene website. Bennett will also cover the international game and focus on the Barclays Premier League. It’s not clear whether he will contribute to the U.S. team or the Italian team, but it looks like the former will be a big part of ESPNFC. However, if he is writing a column for ESPNFC, then it’s unlikely he’ll be covering the World Cup.
